NEW PRIEST IN CHARGE APPOINTED
Following the recent interviews and the recommendation of the Parish representatives, we are pleased to announce that the Bishop has appointed the Reverend Judith Swan to the post of Priest in Charge of the Parishes of Somerton, The Charltons, Kingsdon, Long Sutton with Long Load and Pitney. This appointment is subject to a satisfactory completion of the usual statutory checks made on all clergy taking up a new post.
WELCOME SERVICE AND LICENSING
Following the announcement of the appointment of the Revd Judith Swan, we look forward to a service to welcome her to the parishes and for Bishop Michael to license her as Priest in Charge. Having consulted the Bishop’s office, this will take place
on Thursday 25 July at 7pm
Judith is looking forward to joining us, with
various diary difficulties this won’t be until later than I’m sure we all hoped.
Please continue to pray for Judith as she prepares for her new ministry in our new Benefice. Also remember her family as they prepare for the move.
Also pray for the parishes she will be leaving.
